Across the street from the hospital my brother was staying in was a small prayer room. Leaving the windowless ER wing throughout the day to be greeted by sunshine, fresh air, and walk across the street to pray was the only thing reminding me I’m alive, and things will be okay.
In Islam “Dunya” refers to our temporal world and the challenges, experiences, and lessons we are taught thru this life … with acknowledgment that there is more after this
